One small drawing. A few improvements. A desk full of alternatives.

This is an original Chickenpie studio comic about the moment a quick job turns into an investigation. The artist starts with a simple sun, gives it more attention than it asked for, and eventually has to go looking for the idea that was there at the beginning.

A beret-wearing chicken artist draws a simple sun and says, “Just a quick one.”
The artist adds elaborate rays to another sun while the first simple drawing remains nearby.
A wall of sun variations hangs above a desk crowded with alternatives.
The tired artist holds its head behind coffee cups and discarded sketches.
From above, the artist searches the paper pile for the original drawing.
The artist holds up the original simple sun and says, “This one.”

Four hours. First draft.

There is useful exploration, and then there is making a fresh version because stopping would mean choosing. The difficult part in this story isn't drawing another sun. It's admitting that the first one already did the job.

Keep the first draft somewhere you can find it. You may need the evidence later.

An original fictional Chickenpie comic. The selected six-cell artwork was generated with GPT Image 2; panel extraction and website reading layout were prepared separately. This is a new website-native companion to the comic previously published on our social accounts, not a new social comic or a claimed client experience.
