Paradise Found: Chester's El Nido Beach Escape
Artist Statement
Chester celebrates Holy Week the right way: lounging on El Nido's world-class white sand, sipping buko, and soaking in the golden hour vibes. Because paradise is a state of mind (and beach chair).
While the rest of the country tackles Holy Week traffic and family obligations, Chester has found enlightenment in the form of a bamboo beach chair, a fresh buko, and El Nido's pristine white sand.
El Nido, Palawan was just named one of the world's eight best beaches — a distinction that surprises exactly no one who's ever set foot (or claw) on its shores. With crystal clear turquoise waters, dramatic limestone karst formations, and traditional bangka boats dotting the horizon, it's the kind of place that makes you question why you ever worked a desk job.
Chester, ever the strategic thinker, has timed his escape perfectly. While Manila is gridlocked with Holy Week travelers and government offices observe half-day work schedules, he's achieved peak Filipino vacation efficiency: maximum relaxation, zero small talk with distant relatives.
"Some people find God in church. I found him in this coconut." — Chester, spiritual tourist
The Hawaiian shirt is a bold choice for a chicken in the tropics, but Chester's never been one for subtlety. The straw hat? Pure practicality. The sunglasses? Absolutely necessary when contemplating life's big questions while squinting at golden hour perfection. This is what peak performance looks like — one buko at a time.
